Ingredients:
2 cups flour
2 cups sugar
3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
2 teaspoons baking powder
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 cup buttermilk
1/2 cup vegetable oil
2 large eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla
1 cup boiling water

Directions:
- In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and baking soda. Whisk together.
- In the same bowl, add buttermilk, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla. Beat well for 2 minutes.
- Add boiling water to the batter mixture and slowly beat for another 2 minutes.
- Divide batter between 2 8-inch spring-form pans (greased).
- Bake in oven at 350 degrees for approximately 25-30 minutes or until cake tests done.
- Allow cake to cool completely before frosting.
